CMD would come out of the gate flying with a pair of goals in the opening 4 minutes, but MM would right the ship and take a 4-3 lead into break thanks to Captain Shawn Weatherdon's 2nd goal of the game very late in the frame. Much like the first periodCMD would again dominate the opening of the second stanza and pull even, the teams would trade goals throughout the period until veteran sniper Missy Newhook would pop a goal with just over 2 minutes left to give CMD a 6-5 lead and put them in the driver's seat for a W. Unfortunately for them MM boast the services of phenom Austin Perron, the scoring ace was having a somewhat quiet outing until the final 2 minutes, seconds after the CMD go ahead goal Austin would set up Weatherdon for his 4th goal of the game then just 22 seconds later he would score on a sneaky shot through traffic to put MM up 7-6. CMD would pull the goaltender but were not able to equalize as they fall by that same score.

CMD were led by their dynamic duo of Richard Tattrie and rookie Justin Proulx-Philion , while the aforementioned MM stars were Weatherdon and Perron . Despite the high score both goalies were busy and very solid in this game combining to face 84 shots including 47 against winning tendy Brent Ferguson.
