It likely helped that TNG as they did in week 1 came out of the chute flying to open the game, tenacious stars Michel Sirois and Josianne Garneau would both light the lamp in the opening minutes to give their goalie an early lead, IR would get going in the back half of the period thanks to a pair from Zach Verge but with just seconds left in the period the senior Frewen would regain the 2 goal for their team making it 4-2 at the break. With just 5 minutes to play and TNG still holding a 2 goal cushion Rachel Clermont would pop in a rebound from her office near the crease to make it interesting, with their lead down to 1 Sirois would cap a hard working shift with a beauty snipe from the slot, that goal would turn out as the GWG as TNG stay undefeated and win 6-5.

IR rookie goaltender Ben Conrad improved in his second start of the season stopping 33 of 39 shots overall including 15 of 17 in the second half.
